SEATTLE, Wash. - Elena Kraleva has been named the Western Athletic Conference Sinlges Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

"Elena has been working really hard and this is a wonderful accomplishment for her" said Head Coach Kristina Hollander "I'm happy to see her hard work pay off"

Kraleva had two spectacular performances that were critical for the Redhawk's 4-3 win over Utah Tech. In singles, Kraleva scored a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win over Ya-Chi Hsu at the #1 position.

In doubles, Kraleva and Liliya Dimova had an extremely competitive matcha against the Trailblazer's #1 duo of Rachel Mellor and Annamiek Sterk. Kraleva and Dimova pulled off the 7-6 victory which clinched the doubles point for the Redhawks.

Kraleva and the Redhawks will begin their stretch of home games this week, as the women's team prepare to host UTRGV and UT Arlington on Friday, March 31 and Sunday, April 2, respectively.
