KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Cameron Tyson has earned National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2022-23 Division I All-District 6 First Team honors, announced Tuesday by the NABC and selected by NABC-member head coaches.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that the Redhawks have garnered an All-District selection, and the fourth straight year that they have earned a First Team pick. Darrion Trammell was a First Team selection in 2021 and 2022, Terrell Brown was a First Team selection in 2020 and Myles Carter was named to the Second Team in 2019.

The redshirt junior from Bothell, Wash., averaged 18.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game on the season. His 97 total three pointers ranked first among all WAC players and is good for 18th in the nation, while his average of 3.23 threes per game is 11th nationally. He finished with 15 20-point games, while also surpassing the 30-point marker twice. He also had 11 games with four or more made threes. He surpassed the 1,500-point marker for his career at Grand Canyon on Feb. 24 and later tipped the 1,000-point marker at Seattle U in the season's final game on March 9.

Tyson was also named to the eight-member All-WAC First Team and earned WAC Player of the Week honors once.

Seattle U closed out the 2022-23 season with a second straight 20-win season, finishing 20-12 overall and 11-7 in WAC play.
