SEATTLE – Seattle U softball dropped its final game before Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play on Monday, falling to Oregon (0-9) in five innings. Sophomore Kalyn Hill was perfect at the plate today, going two-for-two with a double. The contest took place at Logan Field on the campus of Seattle U.
The Redhawks moved to 19-7 after today, marking their best start through 26 games in their Division I history.
Both Kalyn Hill and Jocelynn De La Cruz tried to get some momentum going, recording doubles in the third and fourth inning, respectively. It was Hill's third and De La Cruz's fourth double on the year.
Seattle U continued to battle until the end, putting runners in scoring position and knocking two hits in the final inning. Lily Garcia opened the inning with a single just over the shortstop that was followed by a Hill single just two batters later.
