DENVER, Colo. - Madeline Phillips of Seattle University women's basketball has been named on the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

The 6-3, senior from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia is currently majoring in Civil Engineering with plans to graduate this spring. This marks the first time Phillips has received the award. 

The 2022-23  Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All- America® honorees will be announced in mid-March. Seattle U was one of four Western Athletic Conference (WAC) schools to have a student-athlete named to the list.
