College Station, TX – Seattle U baseball fell in game two of their series with No. 5 Texas A&M, 3-6, Saturday afternoon at Olsen Field. The Redhawks out hit the Aggies for the second straight game but struggled with runners in scoring position.

SU were the first on the board thanks to an RBI single by Grant Heiser in the top of the 1st, bringing Jackson Reed home. That was followed by two more runs in the 4th on an RBI walk by Kellen Carr that plated Kenji Suzuki, followed by a fielder's choice that allowed Colin Curry to come in. Redhawks had the 3-0 advantage heading into the bottom half of the frame.

The Aggies quickly responded with two 2-run homeruns in the bottom half of the 4th to take lead. They would add another homerun, this time a solo shot, in the 8th as they took the ballgame by a final score of 6-3.

"Besides the 4th inning we played really good baseball today and had an opportunity to take leads and win the ballgame," said head coach Donny Harrel. "Hard leaving 16 guys on base, so we just need to get some key hits to give us a better chance to win."

Seattle U had eight hits to the Aggies seven, now out hitting them 15-12 on the series. Unfortunately, the Redhawks stranded 16 on the base path, including 11 in scoring position.

Nestor German made the start in game two, going 3 1/3 innings with four strikeouts and four earned runs.

Hudson Shupe had a big day at the plate, going 3-3. He is now 4-6 through two games this season. Matt Boissoneault also continued his strong start to the new season, tallying a double.

The series will conclude tomorrow as the Redhawks look to avoid the 3-game sweep. First pitch from College Station is set for 8:30 AM PT with the broadcast once again being on ESPN+.
