GAME ONE

Seattle U got off to a fast start in this one, with graduate student Olivia Viggiano opening the game with a triple. Viggiano's 12th career triple breaks SU's all-time DI record for career triples, previously held by Paige Bouska who set the record back in 2016.

After Viggiano scored on a single from Tai WIlson to open the scoring, graduate student Jocelynn De La Cruz hit a three run homer to left center to make it four in the first inning. Senior Stefanie Madrigal was fantastic on the mound, pitching four shutout innings followed by sophomore Naomi Chaidez closing the shortened contest in the fifth.
