CLARK FROM DOWNTOWN
Sophomore Taliyah Clark is playing some of her best basketball, leading the team in scoring over the last three games. The 5-11 guard was on fire from three-point range against Utah Valley, finishing the evening 7-for-8 from distance to tie Seattle U's DI record for made threes in a single game. Clark's seven threes also ties for the single best three-point performance in the WAC this season.

The native of Lynnwood, Wash., didn't slow down against Utah Tech, knocking down another four three-pointers in a 17 point afternoon. Clark would finish that weekend 11-for-18 from long range for a superb 61%. During this span, Clark has set new career-highs in points (25), rebounds (nine) and steals (six).

SWEEPING UTAH
Seattle U swept their most recent road trip, claiming victories over Utah Valley and Utah Tech. After falling behind 20-5 after one quarter in Orem, the Redhawks mounted their largest comeback of the season against the Wolverines to take the victory, 66-58. They outscored UVU, 61-38, over the course of the last three quarters, lead by a phenomenal three-point shooting night from sophomore Taliyah Clark

The Redhawks victory over Utah Tech was much different, jumping out to an early lead and holding it for 30 minutes of play. After a back-and-forth first quarter, Seattle U took control of the game during the second, outscoring Utah Tech, 19-12. SU's defense allowed them to take the lead, forcing three turnovers and limiting UT to 5-of-16 from the field and 2-for-9 from three. Junior Irena Korolenko had a stellar all-around game, logging 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as SU finished with four double-digit scorers.

SCORING CAREER-HIGHS
10 different Redhawks have recorded new career-highs in scoring this season, with sophomore Taliyah Clark's 25 against Utah Valley leading the group. Junior Peyton Howard scored a new career-high 21 in the final game of nonconference at UC San Diego, while junior Irena Korolenko recorded 19 points against CSUN back in the middle of December.

Sophomore Julianna Walker and freshman Mya Moore both logged 18 against Portland State and Eastern Washington, respectively, while freshman Noemie Bariteau (12), Asta Blauenfeldt (13), Sheridan Liggett (10), Lisa Michaelsen (11) and Makayla Moore (13) have all recorded double-digit games of their own.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Tarleton currently sits in 11th place with -5.79 WAC Resume seeding points, holding an overall record of 7-15 with a 1-10 record in WAC play. The Texans dropped both their matchups last weekend, falling to Utah Valley (59-63) and Stephen F. Austin (54-68), marking their fifth and sixth straight loss. Teresa Da Silva leads the Texans, averaging 12.1 points per game during WAC play and scoring double digit seven times with one 20 point performance.

Tarleton rarely assists on made baskets and struggle to rebound the basketball, averaging the second lowest number of assists at 11.77 and the least amount of rebounds at 32.5 in the conference. The Texans do a good job of winning the turnover battle, holding the fourth best turnover margin at 1.82. The Redhawks rank 2-1 against the Texans all-time, winning both matchups in 2020-21 before dropping the latest matchup in Seattle, 56-57, last season.

UT Arlington holds the eighth spot with -1.71 WAC Resume seeding points, logging an overall record of 10-13 with a 4-7 record in WAC play. The Mavericks took one of two last week, falling to Utah Tech, 70-87, before taking down the last remaining undefeated team in WAC play, Southern Utah, 60-58. Three Mavericks finished in double figures, with Kayla White's 22 leading the way and Starr Jacobs logged a double-double at 15 points and 13 rebounds. UT Arlington will face off with Utah Valley in Orem, Utah, on Thursday before making the trip to Seattle.

UTA is one of the better scoring offensive teams in the conference, ranking fourth in assists per game (14.17) and fifth in field goal percentage (42%). The Mavericks are prone to turning the ball over, averaging the third most turnovers at 17.91 per game. They have also had some struggles on defense, giving up the most points per game at 73.65. The Redhawks are 2-0 all-time against the Mavericks, taking both matchups during the 2012-13 season.
