Redhawks Excel in Fall Quarter

SEATTLE – Seattle University athletics completed the fall term of the 2022-23 academic year with high academic marks as all 18 teams notched grade point averages over 3.1 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes recorded a collective 3.389 GPA.

SEATTLE – Seattle University athletics completed the fall term of the 2022-23 academic year with high academic marks as all 18 teams notched grade point averages over 3.1 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes recorded a collective 3.389 GPA.

This marks the 11th consecutive term that the collective student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA. 165 student athletes made the Dean's List (3.5+), while 72 made the President's List with a 3.9 or higher GPA. 

Women's tennis led the way this quarter with a 3.816 GPA, followed closely by women's golf who finished with a 3.652. Softball (3.597), volleyball (3.565) and men's tennis (3.540) rounded out the top five. Women's track & field (3.516) and men's swimming (3.514) made it seven programs to have a 3.5 or better mark this fall. 

Men's basketball (3.481), women's swimming (3.418), women's basketball (3.410), women's soccer (3.409), men's cross country (3.396), men's golf (3.372) and women's cross country (3.342) all finished with a 3.3 or higher average in the term.
 
Baseball (3.288), women's rowing (3.269), men's soccer (3.136), and men's track and field (3.133) also performed well in the spring.
 
A total of 43 Redhawks earned a 4.0 GPA for the quarter. 10 different programs improved their performance from the spring term.
