SEATTLE - Seattle U softball has announced their full 2023 schedule, with the season opening in early February. The Redhawks will host 19 games at Logan Field this year, headlined by Oregon and Washington as well as 12 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) games.
"We are excited to compete against many top-25 caliber opponents as well as host some great teams," said Head Coach Geoff Hirai. "We look forward to getting the season underway in California."
The season will kick off with five straight tournaments, concluding with the Seattle U Invite at Logan Field. The Redhawks will begin their season at the NorCal Kickoff, cohosted by Sacramento State and UC Davis, in Davis and Sacramento, California, from February 10-12. The Fresno State Bulldog Invite will follow from February 17-19, before traveling to Manoa, Hawaii, for the Hawai'i Invitational from February 24-26.
Seattle U will make its second straight appearance at the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, California, opening with Michigan on March 3 and concluding with Minnesota on March 5. The Seattle U Invite makes its return for the first time since 2019, with Montana and UNLV making the trip to Seattle from March 10-12.
Oregon and Washington will both make one game trips to Logan Field, with the former scheduled for March 13 and the latter on April 26.
In WAC play, Seattle U will host four home series with Tarleton (March 17-18), Sam Houston (March 31-April 1), Southern Utah (April 14-15) and Utah Valley (April 28-29) all coming to Seattle, while taking road trips to Stephen F. Austin (March 24-25), Utah Tech (April 7-8), Grand Canyon (April 21-22) and California Baptist (May 5-6).
Postseason play will begin with the WAC Tournament, scheduled to take place at the GCU Softball Complex in Phoenix from May 10-13, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
