MOSCOW, Idaho. - Seattle U women's swimming will be traveling to Moscow, Idaho to compete against Idaho in a dual meet on Friday, November 11. The meet will take place at the UI Swim Center, and the first event of the meet will take place at 2:00 PM PST.
The women's team are getting back into competition after having taking two weeks off. The last time the Redhawks compted was when they traveled to Phoenix to take on GCU, LMU, and San Diego State. In the last meet, senior Michaela Day had a strong showing in the 1650 Free, getting to the finish in a time of 18:33.32, which was good for a fourth place finish.
Freshman Sarah Cook would also take home a fourth place finish in the 200 Breaststroke, clocking in a time 2:23.78. Cassie Koester also came away with a top-five finish from the meet when she competed 1000 Free. Koester finished the race in 11:11.67, with teammate Manna Nelson following up in sixth with a time of 11:27.59.
From a team score perspective, the Redhawks defeated Loyola Marymount 142-60. They would fall to Grand Canyon, 153-30, and would also be defeated by San Diego State, 168-36.
