SEATTLE – On a night that began by celebrating the 2022 Western Athletic Conference regular season championship, the Seattle U men's basketball team received a balanced team effort to roll past University of Puget Sound, 106-55, Wednesday in the Redhawk Center.

All 11 Redhawks who suited up saw double digit minutes and all 11 put points on the board. Five players scored in double figures, paced by a game-high 21 from Anjaylo Lloyd. The junior transfer went 7-of-10 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three, in 19 minutes of action.

Alex Schumacher and Jaren Nafarrete tallied 15 points apiece, Seyi Reiley added 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Brody Nunn chipped in 11 points in his collegiate debut.

The teams went back and forth early before a 12-0 Redhawk run opened up a 17-point advantage, 36-19 with seven minutes remaining in the first half. Seattle U pushed the spread to as many as 25 in the frame, before settling in for a 52-33 advantage at the break.

The Redhawks would open the second half with 13 unanswered points and cruised from there, outscoring the Loggers 54-22 in the frame.

Seattle U finished with double digit threes for a second straight outing, none bigger than Nafarrete's triple to beat the shot clock, cap a six-point personal run and send the Redhawks over the century mark, 102-48, with 3:31 to play.

Puget Sound was paced by Grant Erickson's 12 points. Taj Phillis added nine and Mussie Teclemariam had eight on the night.

The Redhawks continue a brief two-game homestead on Sunday, hosting Portland State for SU Homecoming. Tip off from the Redhawk Center is set for 3 p.m.
