SEATTLE – Will Heimbrodt, a 6-7, 200-pound forward hailing from San Anselmo, Calif., has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Seattle U men's basketball program, Head Coach Chris Victor announced Wednesday.
Heimbrodt attended Archie Williams High School in San Anselmo, Calif., graduating in 2022. He is taking a postgrad year in 2022-23, continuing his academics and athletics at Southern California Academy.
"We are very excited to have Will join our program," said Victor. "He is an excellent athlete who competes on both ends of the floor. He is just scratching the surface of his offensive potential and we look forward to his development. His high character and academic background make him a great fit for our basketball program and university."
Heimbrodt starred for the Falcons at Archie Williams HS, capping his career by being named Marin County Athletic League Player of the Year at the conclusion of his senior season in 2022. He averaged 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.0 blocks as the Falcons advanced to the playoffs for the second time during his prep career.
Also named his team's Most Valuable Player his senior year, Heimbrodt notched a single-game high of 42 points in a win over Lincoln HS on Dec. 11, 2021.
Heimbrodt, who also played two years of varsity baseball at Archie Williams HS, played for Team Rampage Basketball from 2022-22 and North Bay Basketball Academy from 2016-20.
The Redhawks host University of Puget Sound in a 7 p.m. tilt tonight at the Redhawk Center. The 2021-22 Western Athletic Conference regular season championship will be celebrated pregame with a ring and banner unveil ceremony.
