STEPHENVILLE, Tex. - Seattle U volleyball concluded its four match road trip on Saturday, falling to Tarleton in three sets (14-25, 13-25, 20-25). The Western Athletic (WAC) matchup was played at the Wisdom Volleyball Gym in Stephenville, Texas.
The Redhawks were never really able to find their footing in this match, facing at least five point deficits in each set. Senior Shanice Horn led the team in kills with eight, while fellow senior Lauren McCabe added six to go along with a team-high four total blocks.
Senior Ezgi Ozkan gave another strong all-around effort, recording 23 assists, five digs and two total blocks. Freshman Merima Smajlovic logged the most digs at nine, while sophomore Erin Goya and freshman Chloe Lee both had seven.
Seattle U returns home on Thursday, hosting WAC conference leader, UTRGV, starting at 6 p.m. in the Redhawk Center.
