SEATTLE - Men's soccer dropped their home conference match to California Baptist, 1-3, Sunday afternoon at Championship Field. After falling behind 0-3, the Redhawks put on a comeback bid that fell short.

The Lancers took the lead in the match on a converted penalty kick in the 37th minute. They would take that advantage into the break before adding two more goals at the 58' and 69' marks in the second half to extend their lead to three.

Seattle U would breakthrough in the 76th minute on an unassisted Habib Barry goal, his first of the season. The goal would breathe life into the Redhawks as they would dominate possession from that point on and would have several quality looks at the goal, but were unable to pull any closer as they dropped the Sunday matchup, 1-3.

The loss sends the Redhawks to a 5-7-1 overall record and 4-2 conference mark. They will look to bounce back on Friday, Oct. 28, when they host Grand Canyon for senior day. Kickoff between the Redhawks and Lopes is scheduled for 7 pm PT at Championship Field.
