LAS CRUCES, N. Mex. – Seattle U men's golf concludes the 2022 fall season on Monday, taking part in the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico State. The two-day event is scheduled to take place at NMSU University Gold Course on the 7,242 yards course with a par of 71. Both days will be shotgun starts, opening at 7:15 a.m. pacific time.
The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from California Baptist, Incarnate Word, New Mexico State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas, Texas A&M - Commerce, Texas Tech, UTRGV, Weber State and Western New Mexico. Seattle U's team lineup will consist of graduate students Nathan Cogswell and Jack Rahon, junior Blake Kukula, sophomore Liam Gill and freshman Ben Ragland. This will be Seattle U's first time competing in this tournament in its history.
The Redhawks are heading to New Mexico after finishing sixth out of 15 teams at the OSU Beaver Invitational in Corvallis, Oregon. Rahon tied for 13th place at three-over 216 (73-72-71), while Cogswell (67-77-74) and Gill (76-71-71) tied for 23rd with three-round totals of 218.
