SEATTLE – Seattle U men's basketball Head Coach Chris Victor unveiled the Redhawks' 13-game non-conference slate Friday, which includes five home dates, numerous regional match-ups, a pair of Pac-12 opponents and a trip to the Aloha State.

"We're excited to announce a very competitive non-conference schedule for the upcoming season," said Victor. "We have challenging road games, great regional match-ups and multiple dates at home in Seattle. The invite to the Diamond Head Classic is also an excellent opportunity for our university and a great test for our program leading into conference play."

The Redhawks open the 2022-23 season on the road at UC San Diego on Nov. 7, then return home to host Puget Sound (Nov. 9) and Portland State (Nov. 13), the latter of which will serve as the culminating event of Seattle U's 2022 Homecoming Week.

Seattle U will head to the University of Portland for another regional rivalry game, facing the Pilots on Nov. 19 at the Chiles Center. The squad will return to Seattle for a stretch of three games including Pacific Lutheran on Nov. 23, at Washington on Nov. 28 and versus Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 30.

The month of December opens with a trip to Grand Forks, N.D. to face North Dakota on Dec. 10. The Redhawks then take on their second Pac-12 opponent on Dec. 15, traveling to face Oregon State.

A home game on Dec. 18 against Alcorn State will be the final in Seattle in the calendar year as the Redhawks will conclude non-conference play at the 2022 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic Dec. 22-25. The tournament features eight teams with 12 games played over the four day stretch at University of Hawaii's SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

The Redhawks open play on Thursday, Dec. 22 against Utah State on ESPNU. They will move on to face either Iona or SMU on Friday, Dec. 23. Host Hawaii, Pepperdine, Washington State and George Washington fill out the other half of the bracket. The tournament's final games will be contested on Christmas Day, either on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

The 18-game Western Athletic Conference schedule will tip off after Christmas. Seattle U will host none opponents - Abilene Christian, California Baptist, Grand Canyon, NM State, Southern Utah, Tarleton, UT Arlington and Utah Tech - while facing CBU, GCU, NM State, Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington, Utah Tech, Utah Valley and UTRGV on the road. Complete WAC basketball schedules, including game dates and start times, will be released at a later date.
