MANOA - Seattle U women's soccer fell short in their comeback attempt, falling to the Rainbow Wahine, 1-2, Thursday night in Manoa.

After two opening half goals from Hawai'i, the Redhawks found themselves in a hole when the second half kicked off. They would quickly respond to the deficit with a quick goal of their own.

In the 46th minute, Brooke Wilson was able to score off of a pass from Caroline Penner, cutting the Hawai'i lead in half.  Despite the momentum shift, the Redhawks weren't able to find the equalizing goal, falling to the Rainbow Wahine 1-2.

"Unfortunately we learned our lesson a little too late," said head coach Julie Woodward. "We were not ready to play when the whistle blew."
