CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Seattle University women's golf has been named a recipient of the 2021-22 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar Team GPA Award. The award recognizes the women's collegiate golf program with the highest collective average team GPA which includes all of the team's student-athletes for the 2021-22 season.
This is SU's third straight year on the elite list, finishing with a team GPA of 3.800 for the 2021-22 season. The mark ranked 19th among all NCAA Division I programs with the top-25 qualifying for the award. New Mexico is on top for a second straight year with a team GPA of 3.961.
Earlier this month, junior Azumi Arai and freshman Shayna Lu were among those named WGCA All-American Scholars, earning a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above. Arai earned the honor for a third consecutive year, while Lu marked her first appearance after a stellar freshman season.
