SEATTLE - The Seattle U Redhawks announced the addition of Asta Vadum Blauenfeldt to the 2022-23 roster. Blauenfeldt will be a freshman this upcoming season for the Redhawks.
Hailing from Denmark, Blauenfeldt comes to Seattle U with a long list of accolades in her home country. She led her league in scoring last season, earning Young Player of the Year in Denmark after scoring nearly 20 points per game. She has also been in the national team system since age 13. This last season, Blauenfeldt made her debut for the senior Denmark National Team.
"Asta is the final piece to our recruiting class," said Suzy Barcomb about the addition. "She plays with a very high motor and competitive drive. Her speed and quickness will fit well into our system. We like her scoring ability and high basketball IQ. We now have great depth at our guard position which will be beneficial for the whole team."
