Seattle University Athletics completed the spring term of the 2021-22 academic year with high academic marks as 16 teams achieved grade point averages over 3.0 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes collectively recorded a 3.301 GPA.

SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics completed the spring term of the 2021-22 academic year with high academic marks as 16 teams achieved grade point averages over 3.0 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes collectively recorded a 3.301 GPA.

This marks the 10th consecutive term that the collective student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA. This mark in the final term of the year also gives the Redhawks a 3.335 cumulative GPA for the full 2021-22 academic year.

Women's golf posted a 3.790 spring quarter GPA, good for the top mark in the department. Women's tennis (3.615), men's tennis (3.560) and women's swimming (3.555), women's cross country (3.542) and volleyball (3.517) also each compiled GPA's over 3.5 in the quarter.

Women's rowing (3.442), men's basketball (3.428), men's cross country (3.386), men's swimming (3.371), women's soccer (3.336), volleyball (3.334) and men's golf (3.320) rounded out those above a 3.3 in the term.
 
Softball (3.170), men's soccer (3.163), women's basketball (3.141) and baseball (3.002) also performed well in the spring.
 
A total of 50 Redhawks earned a 4.0 GPA for the quarter. Seventy student athletes logged at least a 3.9 and 174 had over a 3.5 GPA. Over 76-percent of Redhawk student athletes achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher.
