SEATTLE – (May 5) Seattle University Athletics will not renew the contract of head men's and women's swim coach Craig Nisgor, Director of Athletics Shaney Fink announced Thursday.

"We appreciate Coach Nisgor's 11 years of service and many contributions to the university and wish him well in the future," said Fink.

Nisgor led Seattle U through its transition to Division I, completing his 11th year this past winter as the men's and women's programs placed sixth and eighth, respectively, at the Western Athletic Conference Swim Championships. In his tenure, Seattle U set numerous school records, had two U.S. Olympic Trial and World Championship Trial qualifiers and the program's first-ever NCAA Division I Championship-qualifier. Out of the pool, Nisgor landed one first team and nine honorable mention Academic All-Americans in his time at Seattle U.

A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
