SEATTLE - The final three games of the regular season are up next as Seattle U heads to Dixie State. Seattle U swept Dixie State at home earlier this year, outscoring the Trailblazers 17-1 across three games. Seattle U is undefeated in its Division I history against Dixie State, going 6-0 over the last two years. Grace Luderer and Stefanie Madrigal each threw shutouts against Dixie State earlier this season.

FOLLOW THE REDHAWKS

LEADER OF THE WAC
Carley Nance earned her fourth career WAC Pitcher of the Week award and fifth career WAC weekly award this week. Nance is the first Redhawk ever to earn both Pitcher and Hitter of the Week in the same season and just the second to ever do so in their careers, along with Shi Smith. The five weekly honors are a Seattle U program record: Nance was previous tied with Shi Smith with four weekly awards from the WAC.

TRAILBLAZERS BE WARE
Stefanie Madrigal has faced Dixie State three times in her career. She has a 0.33 ERA in that time, allowing two total runs and just one earned across three complete games. Madrigal's only earned run against Dixie State came on April 30, 2021, when she allowed a seventh-inning solo home run. Madrigal's next win will be her 15th this season and the 26th of her career, tying her with Richelle Ashburn for eighth in Seattle U history.

WEARING IT
Madison Kahwaty set a new single-season HBP record in Seattle U history with her 16th of the season, passing Bailey Thompson. Kahwaty has 10 HBPs in her last 16 games. Over the last three weeks, Kahwaty has been hit by pitch seven times while striking out just once. Only one other player in the WAC West Division has double-digit HBPs.

HILL'S HOT HITTING
Kalyn Hill hit .428 last week, with multiple hits in three of four games. Hill drove in six of Seattle U's 16 runs on the weekend and needs just one more RBI to be the 17th player in the WAC with 30. If Hill were to start three more games she would reach 50 starts at catcher this season. The Redhawks have not had a single player start 50+ games at catcher in a single season in their Division I history. Bailey Thompson (46, 2021) is the only Redhawk to start 45+ games at catcher before Hill did so this season.

WAC WINS
The Redhawks are assured of at least a .500 record in WAC play, sitting at 12-9 with three conference games left. Seattle U has had at least a .500 WAC record every year since 2017, when it went 7-8 in conference. Under Geoff Hirai, the Redhawks are 58-42 in WAC play.

THREE ACES IS A LOT OF ACES
Three Redhawk pitchers are in the WAC's top 12 in ERA; Stefanie Madrigal (2nd, 2.31), Carley Nance (5th, 2.53), and Grace Luderer (12th, 3.60). All three have at least 70 strikeouts as well: no other WAC team has even two pitchers with 70+ strikeouts this season.
