Cogswell Concludes Play at NCAA Stockton Regional

Seattle U men's golf senior Nathan Cogswell season came to a close at the NCAA Stockton Regionals Wednesday, finishing 72nd with a three-round total of 16-over 232 (78-78-76). The three-day, 54 hole event was held from May 16-18 at the The Reserve at Spanos Park, hosted by Pacific and Visit Stockton, on the 7,315 yards course with a par of 72.

STOCKTON, Calif. - Seattle U men's golf senior Nathan Cogswell's season came to a close at the NCAA Stockton Regionals Wednesday, finishing 72nd with a three-round total of 16-over 232 (78-78-76). The three-day, 54 hole event was held from May 16-18 at the The Reserve at Spanos Park, hosted by Pacific and Visit Stockton, on the 7,315 yards course with a par of 72.

Arizona State, Stanford, BYU, Oregon and Liberty claimed the five advancing team spots, while Washington's RJ Manke earned the individual qualification after defeating LSU's Drew Doyle in a playoff. 

Cogswell concludes a historic season, becoming the first Redhawk to win medalist honors at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships and earning All-WAC First Team honors in consecutive seasons. The Kent, Wash., native earned three WAC Golfer of the Week awards and finished in the top-five at three tournaments. 

This marked Seattle U's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The 2017 squad won the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament team title and went on to compete in the NCAA Regional hosted at Aldarra Golf Course in Sammamish, Wash.
