STOCKTON, Calif. - Seattle U men's golf senior Nathan Cogswell travels to Stockton, Calif., on Monday to compete in the NCAA Stockton Regionals at The Reserve at Spanos Park, hosted by Pacific and Visit Stockton. The three-day, 54 hole event will be held from May 16-18 on the 7,315 yards course with a par of 72.

Competing in this year's Stockton Regional is top seeded Arizona State, followed by Washington, Stanford, LSU, Oregon, Nevada, Liberty, BYU, UAB, Houston, UC Davis, Denver, Abilene Christian and Weber State. Along with Cogswell, Caden Fioroni (UNLV), Jackson Rivera (Southern California), Tyler Schafer (Long Beach State) and Nate Deziel (North Dakota State) will compete as individuals.

The top five teams (30 teams) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals) from each regional site will advance to the 2022 NCAA Championships, taking place at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, from May 27 to June 1.

This will mark Seattle U's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The 2017 squad won the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament team title and went on to compete in the NCAA Regional hosted at Aldarra Golf Course in Sammamish, Wash.

Cogswell posted back to back season low rounds of five-under 67 to take medalist honors at the WAC Championships on May 1, finishing with a three-round total of nine-under 207 (73-67-67). The senior became the first Redhawk ever to claim the award and earned First Team All-WAC honors for his play this season, marking the first time a Seattle U golfer has been named on consecutive All-WAC First Teams. He was named WAC Golfer of the Week three times throughout the season and finished in the top-five at three tournaments.
