SEATTLE - Seattle U baseball fell to Washington, 2-4, Tuesday night at Husky Ballpark.The Redhawks dropped the season series to the Huskies 1-2.
The Redhawks came back from deficits on two different occasions thanks to homeruns by Matt Boissoneault and Kyle Sherick, but couldnt manage a third as a two run inning for the Huskies in the bottom of the fifth was the deciding factor.
Seattle U nearly broke through in the seventh when they had the bases loaded with only one out, but Washingtomn was able to turn the double play and deny the Redhawks any runs. A pinch hit single by Jackson Lind to leadoff the ninth inning looked promising, however SU would go down in order after that as the Huskies got the 4-2 victory.
The loss meant the Redhawks dropped the season series to their crosstown rivals, after tying the series at home back on April 26. They will now turn their attention to a pivitol weekend conference series with California Baptist, starting Friday, May 13.
