DENVER, Colo. - Seattle U men's golf seniors Nathan Cogswell and Jack Rahon are among those honored by the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Wednesday as the league unveiled its 2022 postseason awards. Cogswell earns his second consecutive First Team honor, while Rahon makes his first All-WAC appearance on the Second Team.

Cogswell was named to the First Team after posting back to back season low rounds of five-under 67 to take medalist honors at the WAC Championships Sunday, finishing with a three-round total of nine-under 207 (73-67-67). The native of Kent, Wash., becomes the first Redhawk ever to claim the award and punches his ticket to an NCAA regional. Cogswell was one of the best in the field from the par three and four, tying for first in par four scoring (two-under) and average (3.93) and tying for third in par three scoring (one-under) and average (2.92).

The senior marks the first time a Seattle U golfer has been named to consecutive All-WAC First Teams. Cogswell was named WAC Golfer of the Week three times throughout the season and finished in the top-five at three tournaments.

Rahon earns Second Team honors after a strong senior season. The Orange, Calif., native claimed his second and third career WAC Golfer of the Week awards and posted his best overall finish of tied for second at the Orange County Classic with a three-round total of 219.  The senior currently holds the program's best single season par four scoring average (4.1013) and third all-time overall scoring average of (72.80).

Cogswell will find out his regional location at The 2022 NCAA Tournament Selection Show, today at 1 p.m. Pacific on the Golf Channel. Cogswell will be one of 15 total individuals vying for one of the six spots in the National Finals.
