RIVERSIDE - Seattle U baseball fell in the series finale to California Baptist, 1-10, Sunday afternoon in California. The Redhawks dropped all three games in the series.
The Lancers got out to an early lead in the 2nd inning when they added two to the board. CBU would bring in another the following inning to gain the 3-0 edge.
The Redhawks would finally break through in the game on a Gavin Rork RBI single in the fifth inning that brought home Kyle Sherick and made the score 1-5. That would be the lone run in the game for SU as they eventually fell 1-10.
Sunday's loss dropped the Redhawks to 5-7 in conference play after getting out to a quick start in the WAC schedule. The loss also now moved the record to 3-14 in away games.
Conference play will continue when the Redhawks travel home to host Utah Valley in a three game series starting Friday, April 8. This will be the first meeting between the Redhawks and Wolverines this season with first pitch on Friday scheduled for 4:00 PM.
