PALM DESERT, Calif. - Seattle U men's golf completed play at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Friday, finishing 11th out of 20 teams. The three day, 54 hole event took place at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, California, on the 7,305 yards course with a par of 72.
The Redhawks posted a team score of 11-over 875, with their best round of 286 coming in round one.
Senior Jack Rahon (74-73-72) led the way for the Redhawks after three consistent rounds of play, while freshman Liam Gill (73-75-73) finished just two strokes behind him. Senior Federico Gutierrez (68-80-74) was after Gill, shooting a season best round of 4-under 68 in round one, while sophomore Blake Kukula (71-73-81) also started off strong but fell off in round three. Senior Nathan Cogswell rounds out the team score with a three round total of 228 (79-73-76).
The Redhawks won't have time to rest as they return to action on Sunday at the Bandon Dunes Invitational, hosted by Idaho, in Bandon, Oregon, from Mar. 6-8.
