LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Seattle U men's tennis opens Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play this weekend in its first WAC cluster in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The Redhawks start WAC play against Lamar on Friday at 2:30 p.m. pacific time and conclude their stay against Abilene Christian with doubles play opening the match at 12 p.m. pacific time. Both matches will be played at the NM State Tennis Center and will not feature live streaming or stats.
During the spring non-conference dual schedule, freshman Filip Stipic led the Redhawks with seven singles wins, while the pairing of sophomore Mats Krause and freshman Michael Frank led doubles pairings with seven wins and holds the longest win streak in doubles and singles play of five.
On February 16, Seattle U sophomore Julian Worn and freshman Veselin Kiselkov and Filip Stipic were named as the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men's Tennis Athletes of the Week. Stipic earned singles Player of the Week honors while, the paring of Kiselkov and Worn claimed doubles Team of the Week accolades.
