SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics achieved yet another record-breaking performance during the university's sixth annual 24-day of giving – Seattle U Gives.
The Redhawk programs collected a record $372,653 from 2,433 gifts during the giving day, while university-wide efforts totaled $851,559 from 3,560 gifts. Athletics dollars raised increased over 26 percent from the 2021 giving day.
In addition, nine sports tallied record-breaking success for their individual programs. Men's soccer led the way, raising more than $100,000.
"I am continually impressed by the commitment of our alumni, families and friends towards investing in our student athletes," said Director of Athletics Shaney Fink. "There is great energy around Redhawk Athletics and we are so grateful to see that reflected during Seattle U Gives. "
Gifts donated during Seattle U Gives provide student athletes, coaches, and staff with resources to excel in competition, the classroom, and the community.
All figures are preliminary and are expected to increase as results are continuing to be tallied.
