SEATTLE – Seattle U track and field has announced its 2022 outdoor schedule, featuring ten regular season meets, followed by hosting the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships in Seattle from May 12-14.

"This is by far the most opportunistic outdoor schedule we have had in in the last four years," said Head Coach Kelly Sullivan. "I know our student athletes are very excited about the meets we will be attendings this spring, including the Hayward Premiere on the Hayward Field in Eugene and the two incredible meets in California with the Bryan Clay and the new stadium for the Mt. Sac Relays. Our team has been working so hard during another challenging season and having chances like this to open up their opportunities feels great for everyone. The big highlight of our schedule is getting the chance to host the outdoor WAC Championships here in Seattle where we plan on filling the stadium with many fans."

The Redhawks begin the outdoor season at the Pacific Lutheran Invite in Tacoma, Wash., on Mar. 12 before heading to Corvallis, Ore., for the Oregon State PNW Invitational on Mar. 19. They will start the month of April in Eugene, Ore., splitting up to compete in the Hayward Premiere (Apr. 1-2), hosted by Oregon, and the NW Distance Jamboree (Apr. 2), hosted by Lane CC.

SU will split once more to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 13-15), hosted by Azusa Pacific, in Azusa, Calif., as well as the Mt. Sac Relays (Apr. 14-16), hosted by Mt. San Antonio, in Walnut, Calif. The month of April concludes with two more trips to Oregon, starting with the Oregon Relays from Apr. 21-23 in Eugene and concluding with the OSU High Performance Meet from Apr. 29-30 in Corvallis. The regular season concludes with the familiar Ken Shannon Invite, hosted by Washington, in Seattle on May 7.

Seattle U will host the WAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the first time in program history, taking place at Washington's Husky Stadium on May 12-14. The WAC and Seattle U are currently seeking officials for the event.
