LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Another tight matchup between Seattle U and New Mexico State went to the Aggies, 54-59. The Redhawks put together a dominant defensive second half to climb back into the game, with the final chance to tie with 20 seconds left falling short.

That included an impressive showing in the third quarter: after New Mexico State made the first shot out of halftime, the Redhawks held the Aggies without a point for over seven minutes. Barbara Rangel came off the bench and filled in more than ably after foul trouble for Seattle U's bigs. Rangel had a season-best 11 points, going 5-for-7 from the field in 18 minutes. Hailey Vice-Neat also had a strong game off the bench, with eight points and four rebounds. Courtney Murphy had 11 points, including seven in the third quarter.
