THE DYNAMIC DUO

Bree Calhoun and McKenzi Williams each scored 25 points in the overtime win over New Mexico State on Saturday. It was a season-high for Williams and a new career high for Calhoun, her second new career high in scoring in the last three games. It was the first time in the Division I era that the Redhawks have had two players score 25+ in the same game. The Redhawks had not had two players with 20+ since February 20, 2021, when WIlliams had 21 and Calhoun 20 against UTRGV.

BREE OFF THE BENCH

Bree Calhoun has set a new career high in scoring in two of the last three games, averaging 22 PPG on .476/.500/.955 shooting splits in that time. Calhoun has just scored in double figures in eight of her nine games off the bench this season and scored 15+ in seven of those games. In Calhoun's only game off the bench not scoring 10+, she scored nine, at Stephen F. Austin.

SCORING MACHINE

McKenzi Williams needs just 30 more points to reach 900 in her career. The 25-point performance against New Mexico State was her second-highest scoring performance ever, behind only the program-record 36-point game at Idaho last year. It was Williams' eighth career 20-point game, with seven of those eight coming since the beginning of the 2020-21 season.

THE STOCK MARKET

Georgia Kehoe is closing in on 50+ career steals and 50+ career blocks. Kehoe already has 65 career blocks, the fifth-most in Seattle U history. She needs just four more steals to reach 50 career steals as well. Kehoe would be the fourth Redhawk in the Division I era with 50+ blocks and 50+ steals, joining Alexis Montgomery, Kamrica Ary-Turner, and Taelor Ross.

IRENA IN THE LINEUP

Irena Korolenko made her first two starts of the year, against Grand Canyon and New Mexico State. Korolenko has made 11 starts in her two years at Seattle U. In those games, the Redhawks are 8-3 and have yet to lose back-to-back games. Korolenko is shooting 39.7% from the field as a starter in her career.

TURNOVER TIME

The Redhawks forced 21 turnovers against New Mexico State, the fourth time this year they have forced 20+ turnovers. Two of those four instances have come in the last three games, with 21 against New Mexico State and 22 against Sam Houston. Since forcing a season-low eight turnovers against California Baptist, the Redhawks are forcing 16 turnovers per game.

PEYTON PLAYS

Peyton Howard played 35 minutes against New Mexico State, scoring ten points and recording three rebounds and three assists. Howard has played 30+ minutes ten times this year and 35+ three times, including twice in the last three games. Only one player, McKenzi WIlliams (28.4 MPG) is averaging more minutes per game than Howard's 27.8 this year. Only four times this year has Howard played fewer than 20 minutes.

STEALIES

Bree Calhoun is averaging 2.6 steals per game thus far, putting her fourth in the WAC. Calhoun is the only player in the WAC to average over 2.5 SPG in each of the last two seasons after leading the conference with 3.3 SPG. Seattle U has had at least one player in the WAC's top five in steals per game in four of the last five years, with the only outlier 2018-19, when Kamira Sanders was sixth. Only two other current WAC schools have had a player in the top five in steals per game: Utah Valley and New Mexico State each  had a player in the top five in both 2017-18 and 2018-19.
