SEATTLE - Seattle U track and field concluded the 2022 indoor season Saturday at the SPU Final Qualifier. The meet took place at the Dempsey Indoor Center on the campus of Washington.

Seattle U sole participation in this meet was during the men's mile where all three representatives set new personal bests (PRs) and improved their top ten marks. Redshirt sophomore Alex Franklin finished in second place with a time of 4:13.93, while junior Ansel Pendley-Griffin finished almost a second behind him and fellow junior James Parker finished seventh overall with a time of 4:16.73.

Franklin sets the third all-time mark, while Pendley-Griffin moves from ninth to fifth and Parker joins the list at tenth.

This is the second consecutive week that Franklin has set a new PR and top ten mark. Last weekend, the Ashland, Ore., native set the second all-time mark in the 800m at the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships, earning All-WAC Second Team honors in the process.

Seattle U looks forward to the outdoor season, starting in a few weeks.
