FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Seattle U men's tennis earned a victory in its final match of February on Saturday against Pacific in Forest Grove, Oregon. The Redhawks took five of six singles matches to claim a dominate 6-3 victory at the Holce Tennis Courts.

The match was played using Div. III doubles rules, making every doubles match count as a single point instead of the normal best of two takes the point.

In singles play, freshman Filip Stipic earned his ninth victory of the season against Reyn Miyagawa, 6-0, 6-1, while fellow freshman Michael Frank (7-5, 7-5) won a close match against Quentin Gonzalez. Sophomore Mats Krause (6-3, 6-4) won his fifth match of the year over Nicolas Koulisis, while freshman Oliver Hall (7-5, 6-1) claimed his third win of the season over Koby Murata. Freshman Veselin Kiselkov was awarded the victory on court two over Mason Tran as he retired in the third set and junior Lars Schmassmann rounds out the singles matches as he fell to Joey Hu, 4-6, 1-6.

Sophomore Mats Krause and freshman Michael Frank (8-3) started the match strong in doubles play, earning their fifth straight victory as a paring against Gonzalez and Adam Rooney. Stipic and Kiselkov (6-8) teamed up against Tran and Miyagawa, while Schmassmann and Hall (4-8) faced off against Hu and Murata.

Seattle U will enjoy a weekend off before heading to California for two matches on Mar. 5-6. The Redhawks will first travel to Davis for a matchup with UC Davis, starting at 2 p.m., before heading to Sacramento the next day to face off against Sacramento State at 1 p.m.
