SEATTLE - Seattle U track and field will take part in its third and final meet in Seattle on Feb. 11-12 at the Husky Classic. Both days of events will take place at the Dempsey Indoor Facility on the campus of Washington.
Friday's track events are scheduled to start at 2 p.m. with the club mile, while field events begin at 2:30 p.m. with women's weight throw. The day finishes at 9 p.m. with the men's invitational 3000m. Saturday's action starts at 10 a.m. with the women's long jump and the meet concludes with the women's invite 800m at 3:35 p.m.
All spectators 12 and older will need to provide proof of vaccination in order to purchase tickets for the event. Additionally, in accordance with state policy, all spectators are required to wear a mask, indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status at all Husky athletics events. The men's field consists of Arizona State, Arkansas, BYU, Boise State, California, Colorado, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Minnesota, Montana State, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Oklahoma State, Portland, Portland State, Southern Utah, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State, Weber State, Western Oregon, Western Washington and Wyoming.
On the women's side, the meet will feature representatives from Arizona State, Arkansas, BYU, Boise State, California, Colorado, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, George Fox, Gonzaga, Northern, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Portland, Portland State, San Francisco, Southern Utah, Stanford, UC Davis, UCLA, USC, Utah, Villanova, Washington, Weber State, Western Oregon, Western Washington and Wyoming.
Last time out, Senior Tricht Jocelyn set new school records in both the 60m and 200m, while overall the Redhawks posted another three top ten marks and 13 personal bests. Jocelyn beat the previous school record in the 60m by 3 milliseconds and continued that momentum into the 200m where she takes the record from fellow teammate Regie Grady.
