SEATTLE - Seattle U men's tennis started its first of three matches this week Tuesday with a rematch against Washington at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. The unbeaten Huskies would send the Redhawks to an identical 7-0 defeat.

Freshman Michael Frank and sophomore Mats Krause teamed up for their first win as a duo this season, defeating Rikuto Yamaguchi and Nedmi Suko, 6-4. However, UW would go on to claim the doubles point. Freshman Veselin Kiselkov and Filip Stipic (2-6) faced off against Jack Davis and Brandon Wong, while senior Billy Givens-Jensen and freshman Jayden Harrison fell to Jack Pulliam and Nikit Reddy, 3-6.

In singles play, Kiselkov (1-6. 2-6) matched up against Ewen Lumsden, while Stipic (3-6, 2-6) battled against Han-Chih Lin and Krause fell to Suko in identical sets of 2-6, 2-6. Junior Lars Schmassmann (0-6, 1-6) took on Pulliam, while Frank dropped his match against Yamaguchi, 1-6, 1-6, and Harrison (2-6, 1-6) rounds out the singles matches against Reddy.

Seattle U will travel to Bozeman, Mont., this weekend for matches against Montana State and Oral Roberts at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center on Jan. 28 and 29.
