RICHMOND, Virg. - The Seattle U Redhawks were recognized for their academic excellence Monday, with both the men's and women's teams earning CSCAA Scholar All-America Team awards. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America awards Scholar All-America status to teams that excel in the classroom.
"Coach Nisgor continues to build a team the university can be proud of," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These 46 men and women are some of the best ambassadors that Seattle and the WAC could ask for."
Seattle U's men's program posted a 3.16 GPA and the women posted a 3.45 GPA as a team. Seattle U's women's program is also eligible for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
