SEATTLE - It'll be a long road trip for the Redhawks this week, who will hit the road for three games in eight days. Seattle U will start in Utah for a Monday matchup with Utah Valley, then will head to Texas to play Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State. The game against Utah Valley will be Seattle U's second road trip to Utah this year, with the Redhawks having traveled there to play Dixie State already. Seattle U is 2-3 against Utah Valley over the last two season, dropping the last three games in Orem but winning in Seattle and in the WAC Tournament in 2019-20.

A BLOCK PARTY

Georgia Kehoe moved to fifth in Seattle U history in blocks last weekend, passing Alexis Montgomery, and now has 62 blocks in her career. Kehoe had five blocks against Tarleton State, a single-game career high for the Australian. It was the first five-block performance by a Redhawk since 2018, when Kallin Spiller had five at Utah Valley. Kehoe joins Spiller and Taelor Ross as the only Redhawks in Division I history with five or more blocks in a single game. Ross is the only Redhawk to record more, with six blocks at UMKC in 2015.

CRASH THE BOARDS

Seattle U had 51 rebounds against Tarleton State, its fourth game of 50+ rebounds this season. The Redhawks have now out-rebounded the opposition in three straight games after doing so just four times in the first 13 games of the season. The Redhawks have double-digit offensive rebounds in seven straight games as well. In those seven games, Seattle U has allowed the opposition to record double-digit offensive rebounds just thrice.

HOT HAND

Bree Calhoun has scored in double figures in five straight games now, shooting 46% from the field in that time. Calhoun has made multiple three-pointers in four straight games after doing so twice in the season's first 12 games. She has scored 14+ points in four straight games, the second time in her career she has done so. Calhoun has never scored 14+ points in five or more consecutive games.

HEATING UP

Courtney Murphy has put together some impressive scoring runs in the second half of late. In the third quarter against Abilene Christian, Murphy scored 13 points on perfect 4-for-4 shooting. In the fourth quarter against Tarleton, Murphy had eight points on 3-for-3 shooting. Murphy has not missed a shot in the second half since the final two minutes against California Baptist on January 17.

SECOND HALF STRONG

The Redhawks have not been outscored in the second half in any of the last three games, outscoring California Baptist and Abilene Christian while playing Tarleton State even. In those three games, Seattle U has outscored its opposition 111-88 in the fourth quarter. Tarleton State is the only one of those three opponents to score more than 30 points in the second half, putting up 32 thanks to a six-point overtime period.

WAC ATTACK

The Redhawks are shooting 39.7% in WAC games this year after shooting 38% outside of conference. Seattle U has shot under 35% just once in five conference games, shooting 31.6% against Tarleton State. Five different Redhawks are shooting over 40% in conference play, including Bree Calhoun (46%) and Courtney Murphy (43.5%), the two Redhawks to averaged 10+ points in WAC play.
