SPOKANE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis took part in its first of two matches this weekend Friday against Gonzaga at the Stevens Center in Spokane, Wash. The Bulldogs started off the match fast and never let up, winning 4-0 in a shortened match on their home courts. 

Gonzaga started the match by claiming the doubles point. Freshman Michael Frank teamed up with sophomore Mats Krause (3-6) against 25th ranked Matthew Hollingworth and Sasha Trkulja, while senior Billy Givens-Jensen and freshman Oliver Hall (2-6) fell to Tom Hann and Arthus Bassetiere to give the Bulldogs the point. 

In singles play, freshman Filip Stipic (1-6, 0-6) faced off against Hollingworth, while freshman Veselin Kiselkov (1-6, 2-6) battled against Trkulja and freshman Jayden Harrison fell to Theo McDonald in identical sets of 2-6, 2-6. The remaining singles matches went unfinished as the Bulldogs had already clinched the victory. 

Seattle U concludes its weekend matches in Spokane tomorrow at 3 p.m. against Nevada at the Stevens Center.
