SPARKPLUG
Bree Calhoun has now come off the bench in three games this season. In those three games, Calhoun is averaging 17 PPG on 51% shooting, including 41% from long range. Calhoun's three highest-scoring outputs this year have all come off the bench: 18 points against both Sacramento State and Dixie State and 16 points against California Baptist. Calhoun has scored in double figures in three straight games: her only longer streak was seven straight games, coming in December 2020 and January 2021.
FROM DOWN UNDER
Courtney Murphy is just one three-pointer away from tying Jessie DeLauney for third in Seattle U history with 153 makes from long range. Murphy needs 16 more threes to tie Ashley Payne for second all-time. Murphy has made at least one three in ten of 14 games this year and has multiple threes in seven games thus far. Since going 1-for-18 from deep over a five-game stretch, Murphy has shot 6-for-17 from deep.
DENIED
Georgia Kehoe is also closing in on some big milestones, needing just two blocks to move into Seattle U's top five, tying Alexis Montgomery with 58. Kehoe is the ninth Redhawk ever with 50+ blocks in their career. She has at least one block in seven consecutive games and in 25 of 33 games since the start of the 2020-21 season. With seven more steals, Kehoe can join Alexis Montgomery, Kamrica Ary-Turner, and Taelor Ross as the only Redhawks in the Division I era with 50+ career blocks and 50+ career steals.
BENCH MOB
The Redhawks have had 25+ points off the bench nine times this year, including in back-to-back games, against California Baptist and Chicago State. Seattle U has been held to single-digit bench points just twice all year, with eight against Washington and nine against UC San Diego. Three times Seattle U has had 30+ from the bench. Twice, against Western Oregon and Long Beach State, over half Seattle U's scoring has come from the bench.
CRASH THE BOARDS
After having a negative rebounding margin in six straight games, the Redhawks have been in the positive in three of the last four games, including a season-best +20 against Western Oregon. Over those last four games, four different Redhawks are averaging at least 5 RPG: Courtney Murphy (7.8), Bree Calhoun (5.8), Peyton Howard (5.3), and Hailey Vice-Neat (5.0). Only the season, five different Redhawks are averaging at least 3 RPG.
WE LOVE TO STEAL
The Redhawks are now averaging 9.9 steals per game, just a tenth away from becoming the third team in the WAC with 10+ SPG. Seattle U has not had fewer than seven steals in a game all year long and have double-digit steals seven times thus far. Only three opponents all season long have had more steals in a game than the Redhawks.
JADYNN O-LEXANDER
In the first six games of her Seattle U career, Jadynn Alexander averaged 3.3 PPG, breaking the five-point mark twice. In the six games since, Alexander is averaging 8.3 PPG, with three double-digit scoring performances and just one below five points. Alexander has shot 35% over that stretch. She has also made 27 trips to the free throw line in those last six games after making just six trips in her first six games.
