Redhawks Shine in Fall Quarter

SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics finished out the academic year with another terrific quarter this spring. All 18 teams notched grade point averages over 3.0 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.393 GPA.

SEATTLE – Seattle University Athletics completed the fall term of the 2021-22 academic year with high academic marks as all 18 teams notched grade point averages over 3.0 in the term, while Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.339 GPA.

This marks the eighth consecutive term that the collective student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA and the fourth term in the past six that all 18 programs finished above a 3.0.

Women's golf lead all teams with their 3.809 GPA. Women's tennis (3.748), softball (3.556), women's cross country (3.556), men's cross country (3.530) and volleyball (3.509) each compiled GPA's over 3.5 in the quarter.

Men's golf (3.488), men's basketball (3.455), women's swimming (3.454), rowing (3.433), men's tennis (3.419) and women's basketball (3.307) rounded out those above a 3.3 in the term.
 
Women's soccer (3.274), men's swimming (3.158), men's track & field (3.015), women's track & field (3.015), men's soccer (3.103) and baseball (3.087) also performed well in the spring.
 
A total of 54 Redhawks earned a 4.0 GPA for the quarter. Eighty-seven student athletes logged at least a 3.9 and 191 had over a 3.5 GPA.
