THE HOT HAND

Bree Calhoun had her third straight double-digit scoring game and fourth in the last five, scoring 14 against Washington. Calhoun  started the year with 16 total points in her first three games: she has scored at least that many three times in the last five. Since scoring two points at Long Beach State, Calhoun is averaging 15 PPG on 46.7% shooting. Calhoun has only ever scored 14+ points in four consecutive games once, doing so December 15-January 8 last year.

STEALIES

Jadynn Alexander had a new collegiate best, recording five steals against Washington. The last Redhawk to record more steals in a game was Bree Calhoun, who had six against New Mexico State last year. Alexander had zero steals in her first two games as a Redhawk: since then, she is averaging 2.4 steals per game, with at least one steal in five straight games.

FROM DOWNTOWN

McKenzi Williams hit two more threes against Washington, giving her 14 this year and at least one three in six consecutive games. Williams' 14 made threes are already the second-most in a full season in her career, behind only last season's 33 threes in 25 games. Williams is shooting 46.7% from deep this year. Only California Baptist's Georgia Dale and Lamar's Sabria Dean are taking more threes per game while shooting a higher percentage in the WAC.

FORCING MISTAKES

The Redhawks have forced at least 15 turnovers in all but one game this year and now has forced at least 17 in each of the last four games. Only two opponents all year have had a positive assist-to-turnover ratio: UC San Diego had 18 assists and 15 turnovers, while Long Beach State had 20 assists and 16 turnovers. Since then, Seattle U has allowed opponents to record just 64 assists while turning the ball over 84 times.

SETTLING IN

Peyton Howard has now started seven consecutive games, just one fewer start than from all of her freshman season. Howard has scored at least five points in four of her seven starts, with multiple assists and multiple rebounds in six of seven. Howard has improved every single per-game stat over last year, including a .092 jump in her shooting percentage.
