SEATTLE – Seattle University women's soccer senior Sydney Carr has signed a professional contract with IBV in Iceland.
Carr plans to finish her degree in Criminal Justice before joining the squad next season.
Carr enjoyed a breakout season in the spring of 2021, leading the nation in goals (16) and points (38). The Orange, California, native was named on the United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region, First Team All-WAC and voted WAC Offensive Player of the Year. She set the school record for most goals (4) and most points (10) in a game against Chicago State on Mar. 18, 2021.
Carr led a Seattle U attack that won a share of the spring 2021 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular-season title, it's sixth since 2013.
