PORTLAND, Ore. - Seattle U men's soccer season came to a close Thursday, falling 3-2 at Portland. Noe Meza and Levonte Johnson scored in the NCAA tournament first round matchup at Merlo Field.

Seattle U took the lead in the 24th minute after Alex Acton-Petronotis found Noe Meza open in the box. Meza controlled the ball before firing it towards goal where it deflected off a defender and into the back of the net. Portland would go on to score two goals in three minutes to take the lead before halftime.

In the second half, Seattle U continued to create chances as Levonte Johnson and Habib Barry had shots blocked by Portland defenders that looked destined for the goal. The Pilots would add to their lead in the 63rd minute but Johnson would make it a one goal game again after a fantastic individual run resulted in the ball beating the keeper at the bottom left corner.

Seattle U outshot Portland, 20-9, and held the advantage on corner kicks at 10-3.
