DENVER – Kait Raffensperger of Seattle University women's soccer was named to the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) 2021 Freshman Team for her performance on the Redhawks defense.
The Redmond, Wash., native appeared in all 19 matches, making 18 starts on the Seattle U backline. Raffensperger played the second most minutes of any player at 1,644, and she was a key member of six team shutouts. The freshman was one of the leaders on a defense that allowed just 1 goal per game in 19 matches this season.
Seattle U's (7-8-4) season concluded on Saturday with a 0-0 draw against Cal Baptist.
