SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Seattle University men's soccer fell at Incarnate Word, 1-0, on Friday night. Declan McGlynn led the way for the Redhawks with three shots.
Seattle U was in control for the majority of the first half as they outshot the hosts, 7-2, in the first 45 minutes. The Redhawks had chances as McGlynn just narrowly missed at the near post after Noe Meza swung in a ball from the right side.
In the second half, SU looked determined to take the lead as they continued to send balls into the box, however, Incarnate Word's Koen Vos struck the ball from just inside the box to score the only goal of the night in the 73rd minute.
Seattle U held the corner advantage at a margin of 7-4, while the shots finished even in the end.
The Redhawks continue their weekend road trip with UTRGV in Edinburg, Tex., at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
