ST. GEORGE, Utah – Seattle University women's soccer fell at Dixie State, 2-1, Saturday afternoon. Hailee Rasmussen had the lone goal for the Redhawks as she fired a shot from about 25 yards out that found the bottom corner.

Both defenses-controlled play through the first ten minutes but the Trailblazers opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Seattle U continued to battle and eventually tied the game through Rasmussen's first goal of the season after Jolie St Louis was able to get her the ball.

The Redhawks dominated the majority of the possession and had almost all of the quality chances to start the second half but DSU took the lead once more on a long range shot in the 54th minute. Jessica Berlin made four saves in the contest with her best coming in the 65th minute as she saved a one on one chance.

Seattle U outshot Dixie State by a margin of 7-4 in the second half and posted six shots on goal overall.

The Redhawks will conclude Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play on Oct. 30 against California Baptist at Championship Field.
