SEATTLE – The Seattle U Redhawks picked up a home win over the New Mexico State Aggies 2-0 behind goals from Bailey Hall and Michele Adam. Seattle U would fire 17 shots in the game while allowing only three shots on goal, controlling the ball for the bulk of the game.

The win move Seattle U to 7-6-3 on the season, including a 4-2-2 mark at home. Jessica Berlin made three saves in the game for her third shutout of the year and second in WAC play.

It took just 13 minutes for Seattle U to get on the board. After a short clearance by New Mexico State, Gabe Jillings flipped the ball forward into the box. Hall was there and fired it home on the run for the lead.

Adams' goal came just ten minutes later. The junior curved in a direct free kick from the right wing, placing the ball just inside the far post and out of reach of the leaping keeper.

Even with the two-goal lead, Seattle U kept the pressure on. The Redhawks had 12 shots in the second half, coming inches away from scoring several times. Three times in the final two minutes the Redhawks put dangerous scoring chances on net, with the final chance coming from Sydney Carr, who curved on just out of play to end the game.

Next week, the Redhawks will play at Utah Valley on Thursday, October 21 at 5:00 pm and at Dixie State on Saturday, October 23 at 12:00 pm. Those will be the last road games of the regular season, with Seattle U finishing the regular season at home against California Baptist on October 30.
