The Seattle U baseball program has six Redhawk-products playing in the professional ranks during the 2021 season. During the course of the summer, #ProRedhawk Notes will provide a bi-weekly update of each player.

Tarik Skubal – P, Detroit Tigers (MLB)
Season Stats: 7-10, 4.32 ERA, 110.1 IP, 121 SO,1.31 WHIP

Skubal fell to the Baltimore Orioles with three of the four runs allowed coming off the long ball on July 30. The lefty however bounced back in his next outing, blanking the Boston Red Sox with five scoreless-innings.

Eric Yardley – P, Nashville Sound (AAA) – Milwaukee Brewers
Season Stats: 2-1, 3.72 ERA, 19.1 IP, 15 SO, 1.34 WHIP

Since joining the Sound in mid-June, Yardley has posted a 2-1 record with 17 strikeouts in 20.2 innings pitched. The righty has made four relief appearances since July 26, during which he tossed 5.2-scoreless innings allowing just two hits and was even credited with a win in an Aug. 4 outing.

Janson Junk – P, Rocket City Trash Pandas (AA) – Los Angeles Angels
Season Stats: 4-1, 1 SV, 2.02 ERA, 71.1 IP, 72 SO, 0.93 WHIP

On July 30, Junk was moved to Los Angeles Angels in exchanged for southpaw Andrew Heaney and cash, before being optioned to club's Double-A in Huntsville, Ala., the Rocket City Trash Pandas. A few days later he was interviewed by MiLB.com which you can read here. The right-hander made his Trash Panda-debut on Aug. 4, earning a no-decision in 5.2 innings, after allowing four runs, three earned, on eight hits with four strikeouts.

Zach Wolf – P, Retired
Season Stats: 1-2, 5.87 ERA, 23.0 IP, 25 SO, 1.35 WHIP

Wolf retired from professional baseball on July 6. He played part of three seasons, appearing in 67 games, after being selected 537th-overall by Miami Marlins in 2018 MLB Draft. During his minor league career, Wolf posted a 7-5 record with 20 saves while tossing 88.2 innings.

Jake Prizina – P, Aberdeen IronBirds (High-A) – Baltimore Orioles
Season Stats: 3-1, 3.08 ERA, 52.2 IP, 46 SO, 1.18 WHIP

Since joining Aberdeen in mid-May, Prizina has posted a 1-1 record, while beginning the week listed fourth among team leaders in innings pitched (47.1). His 3.42 ERA with the IronBirds is also fourth-best on the team for pitchers with at least 20.0 IP. The lefty ended July with a strong relief appearance that saw him go 5.0 innings, allowing one run on five hits and strike out four.

Brandon Jenkins – P, ACL White Sox (Rookie) – Chicago White Sox
Season Stats: 0-0, 4.05 ERA, 20.0 IP, 30 SO, 1.95 WHIP

Jenkins was assigned the ACL White Sox on July 15, the club's rookie league team located in Arizona.
